i have a tendency to rush cailin along with
whatever it is we are doing. i recently read
an article about not doing that very thing
because i have a take your time, carefree girl.
she does not like to be rushed or told to hurry.
and sometimes there is no reason to hurry her except
for the fact that i'm ready. that's not a good enough reason.
i'm trying very hard to slow down and let my carefree girl
take her time getting her shoes on and grabbing whatever
it is she wants to put in her purse before we leave to go
somewhere. she likes to stop and observe the things around
her and i often find myself hurrying her into a store or the car.
i'm taking more time to let her "stop and smell the roses".
its been hard because i'm not a super patient person and i
like to go and get my things done, but things don't always have
to be rushed. i want her to be able to take her time when appropriate.
and here she is doing just that outside of costco the other day.
she loved these little purple flowers and wanted to touch, smell,
and look at them. and i let her and she was so happy. i'm determined to
take more time and let her experience the world around her.
