merry christmas

heres a look at our christmas day.

welcome to christmas day sleepy lady.  

she slept til 8:30.

ready to open presents from mom and dad.

it was covered in duct tape so i had

a time of getting into it.

then we went over to brady's mom's (nana)

nana got cailin a really cool

electric train set that took the boys

about 45 minutes to set up.

too many presents to open.

she was a little overwhelmed.

a pink "castle" tent to play in.

she loves this thing and so do i

cuz she will take all her little "babies"

 in there and her tea set and play by herself.

then my mom (mimi) and brothers came over for dinner.

 we had a wonderful christmas and had so much fun

spending time with family.  cailin had the best day 

and was had so much fun getting spoiled by everyone.

she was so wiped out that she slept in until 10 this morning.

cailin got this horsey from our

good friend kimi.  she loves it and takes 

it with us when we run errands.

she is usually concerned about where horsey

is when we are at home too.  the funny thing

is she absolutely does NOT want horsey

in her crib with her.  i find it odd that she's

gotta be with horsey all day, but when it comes

to sleeping horsey is not allowed in "kk's bed".

i guess horsey is only an awake friend.

here she is being squished between 2

hot pads at bed bath and beyond.

the she came with us to world market to

find cailin's own special ornament for our tree.

then we took a train ride at short pump where

 horsey rode with us.

she got thrown to the ground while cailin

was busy throwing coins in the fountain.

and lastly took a cow ride with cailin outside

of our favorite farmer's market.

a day in williamsburg

we took a little day trip out to williamsburg last weekend

to do some fun willamsburgish things.  my brother and his

gf amanda just moved there so we met up with them for 

a few hours in the early afternoon and went to this awesome

candy store near their apartment.

then we stopped fun lunch at this little mexican

restaurant and cailin was the entertainment for the table.

our last stop took us to a huge yankee candle store

where we, on a whim, saw santa.

this year was very different from last.

she loved him.  not a tear to be had.

lately cailin has had a VERY strong opinion

on what she wears.  she picks out her own

outfits now and they usually consist of a skirt,

some leggings, a short sleeved shirt on top of a 

long sleeved shirt.  this morning i tried to get her to

wear some jeans and a sweater and you would have 

think i asked her to bite her fingers off.  oh well.

i love my mismatched silly dressed girl.  she's cute

not matter what she's wearing.  oh and she also 

REFUSES and will absolutely NOT wear a 

jacket.  ever.  she would rather be shaking from being 

so cold (which has happened) than put a jacket on.

i'm not going to fight her on it.  i guess that's

why they say, pick your battles.
