little people

lately cailin's new thing has been taking all these

"little people" and lining them up on our

tv stand. she's very careful and meticulous about

it because if one gets knocked over she says "uh oh"

and has to immediately stand it back up. thank

you mimi for all these wonderful little toys.

merry christmas!!!!

christmas morning at nana's house started with

breakfast. cailin prepared herself well for all

the present opening fun!!

her first pez dispenser. she loved it.

she got an orange in her stocking and you'll notice

it didn't go very far for the rest of the morning.

and an elmo doll.

it was an ELMO christmas for cailin.

she also got some elmo pj's that she wore to

bed that night. the elmo to the right was tickle

me elmo. she's afraid of it so we took his tickle machine out.

that's the only reason he's sitting there next to her while

she eats her dinner and watches basketball with uncle matty.

we ended up getting debbie the same thing she got us. haha

a keurig coffee/hot chocolate/cider/tea maker. woo hoo!!!

christmas eve

this year we went to a nearby amusement park called bucsh gardens

for christmas eve. they turn their park into a christmas wonderland

for the holiday. as soon as it was dark there were millions of lights

sprucing up the place. cailin loved it and was so lucky to have

6 adults dote on her.

brady, matty, jess and mimi took off on a roller coaster.

cailin was very concerned about them. she said, "uh-oh"

every time a roller coaster passed by above her.

she doesn't go far without her blankie.

as you can see she really liked santa this year.

nana bundled cailin up to watch us all go on a ride.

sesame street christmas. its no secret how much cailin

loves sesame street and elmo. she was very attentive.

climber

i think she has most definitely taken after her daddy

when it comes to climbing. if there's a chair out, she up and on it.

if the toilet seat is down she is up and on it. im a little

surprised that she hasn't tried to climb out of her crib....yet.

these chairs are up on our kitchen table, btw.

and yes, she got up there all by herself. it was scary

when i heard her grunting and found her up in the little cubby.

18 months

little lady loo is 18 months today. i can't believe it.

she is a very fun and silly little girl and i feel

so lucky to be her mom.

here are a few new things about cailin

-she is miss independent

-she does this annoying long and loud yell when she doesn't get her way

-still wears a size 4 shoe and 12-18mo. clothes

-has become quite the climber

-can identify most of her body parts

-doesn't say a ton, but speaks (in cailin language) about 15-20 words

-loves to be outside no matter what the weather

-is still an awesome awesome sleeper

-LOVES elmo

-does a pretty dang good one foot stomp

-the majority of our car rides include her whining

-can maneuver her way around the ipad

-LOVES the iphone, but rarely gets to play with one

she had her doc appt this morning and here are her stats.

weight: 22 lbs (15%)

height: 32 inches (70%)

these are the only pics i could get of her looking at me today.

she pretty much ignores me when the camera comes out.

thanksgiving

i know, i know. i'm quite behind on this posting seeing

as how thanksgiving was like 3 weeks ago, but

better late than never. we had a really fun quiet

thanksgiving this year at my house with cailin,

me, brade, matty, jess, john, debbie (nana),

and my mom (mimi).

this one she kept all to herself. i think after all was

said and done she had taken at least one bite

out of half of the rolls.

this little lady loves books, and loves to

be read to. this is one of my most favorite

things to see. daddies and their girls. too cute.
