stuck inside

now the title of this post isn't entirely true.

we could go outside, but i really don't want to.

we got 4 or 5 inches of snow yesterday and overnight.

the roads are clear, but its too cold to go out

so we are staying inside and doing inside things all day.

we started by snuggling on the couch playing with the ipad.

  

then we covered the table with paper and went 

to town painting and making paper plate animals.

  

then with our spring fever we made finger paint

flowers.  one for nana and one for our fridge.

it will be warmer soon, right?

so far we've also watched half of cinderella,

made a pizza for lunch and are half way through tarzan.

who knows what next...

dance party

we frequently have a dance party in our front room, but its rare that cailin

dances and asks to have her picture taken.  i ran with her request and

snapped away.  i  love her dance moves

taking a break.  being such a good dancer is hard work

a day with mimi

 on monday we did a little exploring of the train station

downtown richmond.  my mom had never been there and

cailin is always up for a train related activity.

unfortunately we didn't see any trains go by but

we had fun exploring the cool old building.

then we stumbled upon this cool graffiti wall.

 then a little bit later we stopped for some frozen yogurt.

my good friend ashley gave cailin this cute tutu

when we went to visit her after having a new

baby and a play date with her 2 year old lyla.

i made sure ashley knew that if she let cailin wear it

she probably wouldn't be getting it back anytime soon.

and boy was i right.  she insisted on wearing it every day this week.

friday getting her purse ready to go run errands with mama.

 and saturday striking a pose to show us her fashion.

ice cream cone

as you can see i'm having fun playing with

my new lens.  it makes ice cream cone eating

look so much better than ordinary.
