this is one of cailin's new fave places to play.
why? i do not know.

luray caverns

we took a trip out to the luray caverns
a couple days ago. i had never been and it was
really cool. it was amazing to see all this
underground. cailin insisted on walking
all by herself through most of it so we
got to see the caverns really really well.

in honor of father's day i wanted to give a shout out
to 2 of the men in my life i consider to be my
dads and share a few things about them
first we'll start with my father in law, scott.

1. he's a very funny jokster kind of guy.
2. he's a crazy man for road biking.
3. even though he's crashed quite a few times he
still takes very looooong bike rides.
4. he lives out in the middle of no where utah. (bicknell)
5. he's one of the most generous people i've ever met.
6. he's THE dentist in the area that he lives in.
7. he drives a really cool huge black truck.
8. he's always been very understanding and non-
judgmental of people.
9. he's a great grandpa and we wish we could see him more often.
10. He loves anything root beer flavored just like his son.


now on to my dad.

1. he's has a great sense of humor and can always make me laugh.
2. he LOVES any kind of cheese and any kind of pastry.
3. he's always been VERY involved in my life.
4. he's a boss man bing at farmer's insurance.
5. he lives too far away in california and we wish we
could see him more often.
6. he loves to wear farmer's logo shirts.
7. he's a GREAT papi and i wish cailin could
grow up with him in her life more.
8. he's very fun and easy going. great to hang out with.
9. he likes to do outdoorsy things like hike.
10. he LOVES all things reality tv, just like his daughter.

another birthday shout out

we are feeling very loved here in the andersen home.
cailin got yet another birthday shout out. this time
it was from her cousins, carlie, parker, maddie, and bristol.
they sent cute happy birthday pictures that they colored.
it was so cute and i LOVED getting them in the mail.
they are now proudly hung on our fridge.

she loved it so much she wanted to eat it.

one more bday gift

cailin received one more birthday gift from my
great client and friend claudia. here she is
opening and exploring her new toys.

this chick loves herself some books.

a new toy pot and veggies. she' been playing
with this all morning.

cailin's first birthday celebration

we had a small get together down at a nearby park today
to celebrate cailin's big old birthday. it was
nice to see everyone and have people get
together in honor of cailin. she had no idea, obviously,
but here are the pics from my camera.

yay, presents!!

the cake eating did not go as i thought. i really
thought she'd throw it around and smash it everywhere
and have a grand old time. not the case. i was a bit disappointed.
she acted like she was scared of it. weird.

uh, i don't know about this.

i'll clap for cake, i guess.

i hate it, please get me out.

and then this was her telling me she was "all done".

FIRST BIRTHDAY

today cailin turns one. so this post is in honor
of her first year of life staring in the first month
and going until today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!!!

and today. one year old!!!!

as you can see cailin has grown and changed so much in the past year. its
amazing to me how different she is month to month and how often she
learned and did something new. this past year has been fabulous.
it didn't come without its hard work, but its been SO worth it. i love this
little girl so much. she's so fun, funny, silly, independent, easy going,
smart, and so dang cute. she has brought a lot of joy to our lives.
