lately cailin has had a VERY strong opinion
on what she wears. she picks out her own
outfits now and they usually consist of a skirt,
some leggings, a short sleeved shirt on top of a
long sleeved shirt. this morning i tried to get her to
wear some jeans and a sweater and you would have
think i asked her to bite her fingers off. oh well.
i love my mismatched silly dressed girl. she's cute
not matter what she's wearing. oh and she also
REFUSES and will absolutely NOT wear a
jacket. ever. she would rather be shaking from being
so cold (which has happened) than put a jacket on.
i'm not going to fight her on it. i guess that's
why they say, pick your battles.

I love her outfits. I used to think I would care so much about how my kids are dressed. But sometimes I step back and look at what they are all wearing and realize that they all look crazy. :)
While I put my foot down about some things (my kids don't understand why I don't allow character shirts/shoes, but hopefully one day they'll thank me), for the most part I let them pick out what they wear. And I think it's cute to see their little styles forming.
