discover richmond

cailin and i went on an outing this morning
to explore different spots in richmond.
it was hot, but we had a good time discovering
richmond and taking fun pictures.

our first stop was oregon hill.

its a neighborhood area downtown.  brady and i
have always LOVED these townhouses, but
realize that they are WAY out of our price range.
bummer!!

this is the view from the town homes.

then we stopped at matty and daddy's alma mater.
Virginia Commonwealth University

these are the huge RAM horns.

here's cailin trying to yell out of the horns.

we then drove through the fan (a big area with cute row houses and restaurants)
and took pics of some of the monuments on monument ave.  how fitting!!

then we drove up to church hill which
is an up and coming neighborhood.

eat your heart out don draper!

the view from the top of church hill.

we came across this cute fountain and trees.
cailin loved picking up all the fallen petals
and throwing them up in the air.  again and again.

our last stop took us to the main street
train station.  cailin LOVES trains.  as
we were walking up to the building a
train was going by and all i heard was
choo choo.  choo choo. choo choo.
